1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using RisenResume at risenresume.com ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and RisenResume.

2. Description of Service

RisenResume provides an AI-powered resume building platform that allows users to create, edit, and download professional resumes. We offer both free and paid subscription tiers with different features and capabilities.

3. User Accounts

• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account
• You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms

4. Subscriptions & Payments

• Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at checkout
• All payments are processed securely by Stripe
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
• You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings
• Refunds are available within 7 days of initial purchase if you have not downloaded more than 2 resumes
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice to existing subscribers

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any laws
• Create resumes containing false, misleading or fraudulent information
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
• Use automated tools to access the Service without our permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Upload or transmit any malicious code, viruses or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service

6. Your Content

You retain full ownership of the resume content you create using RisenResume. By using our Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your resumes or personal information.

7. Intellectual Property

RisenResume, its logo, resume templates, AI-generated suggestions, and all associated software are owned by RisenResume and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from our platform without express written permission.

8. AI-Generated Content

RisenResume uses AI to generate resume content suggestions. These suggestions are provided "as is" for informational purposes. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing and verifying any AI-generated content before using it in a resume. We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness or effectiveness of AI-generated suggestions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RisenResume and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including but not limited to: loss of employment opportunities, loss of income, or losses arising from reliance on resume content created using our Service. Our total liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that resumes created using our platform will result in employment. Use of the Service is at your own risk.

11. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We may perform maintenance, updates or modifications to the Service at any time. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of planned downtime where possible.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria, Australia. If you are a consumer in another jurisdiction, you may also have rights under the laws of your local jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or prominent notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
